The entertainment landscape of Abu Dhabi is about to receive a superpowered upgrade. Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations in the UAE, has officially announced a thrilling expansion, as it unveils two new DC-themed attractions at Warner Bros. World Yas Island. In a powerful collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, this move promises to significantly elevate the adrenaline factor for both hardcore comic fans and everyday thrill-seekers visiting the award-winning indoor theme park.

The announcement outlines a two-phased expansion strategy that will seamlessly integrate cutting-edge ride technology into the park’s vibrant Metropolis land. The first of these high-energy additions, named the Kryptonite Collider, is already on track to open its doors to the public on July 26, 2026. Following closely behind in the park’s long-term development pipeline is the highly anticipated Superman Up and Away, a massive next-generation flying roller coaster currently scheduled to complete construction in 2028.

The Kryptonite Collider Experience

Set to launch this summer, the Kryptonite Collider promises a dizzying, immersive centrifuge experience. The narrative journey begins the moment guests enter the queue. Riders will find themselves cast as “test subjects” for the infamous Lex Luthor’s Everyman Project, complete with highly detailed, infomercial-style video briefings. Once strapped into the 32-guest ride vehicle, participants will be swept through a relentless vortex of motion and energy. The physical thrills are heavily amplified by integrated onboard audio and intense lighting effects designed to simulate the volatile power of kryptonite.

A Bold Vision for Yas Island

This ambitious expansion is a clear indicator of Miral’s broader strategy to position Yas Island as an unbeatable global entertainment hub. The new DC attractions are not just about adding rides; they are about deepening the storytelling capabilities of the park.

Jonathan Brown, Chief Portfolio Officer at Miral, highlighted the strategic importance of this launch, stating: “The introduction of these new DC-themed attractions marks an exciting chapter in the continued evolution of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, further enriching its world-class offerings. It reinforces our long-standing partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, as we collectively advance our shared ambition to deliver unparalleled immersive entertainment for our guests.” Brown added that these joyful experiences will continue strengthening Abu Dhabi‘s position as a premier tourism hub.

The Future of Flight

While fans will have to wait until 2028 for Superman Up and Away, the anticipation is already building. Designed as a next-generation flying roller coaster, the attraction will literally launch guests face-down alongside the Man of Steel on an exhilarating, high-speed mission to protect Metropolis.

Simon Robinson, President of Global Experiences & Studio Operations at Warner Bros. Discovery, emphasized the company’s dedication to pushing experiential boundaries: “At Warner Bros., our fans are our single focus, inspiring us to push the boundaries of how we bring our iconic characters and their universes to life. These new DC attractions reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and storytelling at the highest level, and, in collaboration with our partners at Miral, we are embarking on an exciting new chapter for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.”

With six highly detailed immersive lands already drawing crowds from around the world, this bold expansion by Miral ensures that Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi remains at the absolute cutting edge of the global theme park industry, giving fans entirely new ways to experience the magic of the DC universe.
