Wynn Al Marjan Island Reaches Structural Completion Ahead of 2027 Opening.
Wynn Al Marjan Island, the Middle East’s first fully integrated resort, has reached a major construction milestone with the structural completion of its main tower, marking a significant step towards its planned Spring 2027 opening.
Developed by Wynn Resorts in partnership with Marjan, the project has achieved its highest structural concrete point at 283 metres across 70 floors, just 27 months after foundation works began. Once the spire is installed in 2026, the tower will reach its full architectural height of 352 metres, making it the tallest man-made structure in Ras Al Khaimah, surpassing existing landmarks by more than 100 metres.
Transition to Interior Build-Out Phase
With the structural framework now complete, construction has progressed into a full interior fit-out phase. All 1,530 guest accommodations have reached structural completion, with interior works underway across 1,504 rooms and suites.
Facade installation on the main tower has reached 79 per cent completion, while the surrounding low-rise structures are 99 per cent structurally complete, signalling steady progress across the wider resort footprint.
A Landmark Integrated Resort Destination
Spanning more than 60 hectares, Wynn Al Marjan Island is set to redefine luxury hospitality in the region. Upon completion, the resort will feature:
- 1,217 resort rooms
- 297 Enclave suites
- Two Royal Apartments
- Four Garden Townhomes
- 10 Marina Estates
Guests will have access to an extensive range of lifestyle and leisure offerings, including 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a beach club, a spa and beauty destination, a retail parterre, 12 swimming pools, a 420-metre white sand beach, and a deep-water marina capable of accommodating superyachts.
The development will also house Coral Court, a dedicated celebrations and events venue, alongside The Showroom, a purpose-built theatre designed to host world-class entertainment.
Industry Leaders Mark Topping-Out Milestone
To commemorate the topping-out milestone, senior executives from Wynn Resorts, Wynn Design and Development, and Marjan gathered at the summit of the tower overlooking the Arabian Gulf. The ceremony included the pouring of the final concrete and the presentation of commemorative steel bars taken from the structure.
Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, said:
“Reaching the tower’s highest structural point in just over two years is a defining moment for the project and a testament to the teams delivering it. Wynn Al Marjan Island is reshaping the skyline of Ras Al Khaimah and anchoring a destination designed for guests who expect the very best.”
Abdulla Al Abdouli, Group CEO of Marjan, added:
“This development is the centrepiece of a new global destination taking shape in Ras Al Khaimah. This milestone brings us closer to welcoming visitors to a resort that will elevate the emirate’s hospitality offering and deliver long-term value for the tourism economy.”
Barry Lewis, CEO of ALEC Holdings, commented:
“The adoption of advanced building technologies has allowed us to streamline workflows and maintain precision at scale. As the project moves into its next phase, our focus remains on delivering a world-class destination.”
On Track for Spring 2027 Opening
As one of the most closely watched developments in the UAE, Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to play a transformational role in Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism and hospitality landscape, positioning the emirate as a global destination for luxury, entertainment, and experiential travel.
The project remains firmly on schedule for its Spring 2027 debut.
