CNTXT AI: New unified voice platform aims to transform how organisations process Arabic speech across sectors
Abu Dhabi-based CNTXT AI has launched an upgraded version of its flagship platform, Munsit, positioning it as one of the most advanced Arabic voice AI systems globally, as demand for artificial intelligence solutions continues to surge across the UAE and wider region.
The latest release marks a significant evolution from a speech recognition tool into a fully integrated voice AI platform, combining both speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities within a single ecosystem. Designed to operate seamlessly across industries such as government, banking, media, and customer service, the platform reflects a broader shift in how organisations are embracing voice as a critical interface for digital transformation.
Industry observers note that while voice AI technologies have rapidly advanced worldwide, Arabic has historically remained underserved due to its linguistic complexity and the diversity of regional dialects. CNTXT AI’s latest innovation directly addresses this gap by building Arabic-specific technology from the ground up, rather than adapting existing global models.
Speaking on the launch, Mohammad Abu Sheikh, Founder and CEO of CNTXT AI, emphasised the importance of regional innovation in shaping the future of artificial intelligence. He explained that Arabic has long been overlooked in global AI development, but the company’s work demonstrates that locally built solutions can not only compete but lead on a global stage. He described Munsit as a system developed “for the region, by the region,” capable of driving the next phase of AI adoption.
Originally introduced as a speech-to-text model, Munsit has now been expanded into a comprehensive voice engine by integrating CNTXT AI’s proprietary speech recognition technology with its newly developed Faseeh text-to-speech model. This combination allows the platform to both understand and generate natural Arabic speech across more than 25 dialects, creating what the company describes as a “closed-loop” system.
In practical terms, this means organisations can capture audio, convert it into text, analyse the content, and then generate spoken responses—all within a unified workflow. This eliminates the need for multiple disconnected tools, reducing operational complexity while improving efficiency and accuracy.
The platform is accessible via APIs, a web-based workspace, and a mobile application, and can be deployed across the cloud, private infrastructure, or fully on-premises environments. This flexibility is particularly important for organisations handling sensitive data, as it enables them to maintain full control over information while leveraging advanced AI capabilities.
Early adoption figures highlight strong market traction. According to CNTXT AI, Munsit has already processed more than 86 million Arabic words and over one million minutes of audio, with more than 250 government and enterprise entities actively using the system. Additionally, the platform’s mobile application has attracted over 150,000 users within just two months of launch, indicating growing demand across both enterprise and consumer segments.
This rapid uptake reflects a broader trend across the UAE, where sectors such as e-commerce, digital banking, and online services are witnessing a sharp increase in voice-based interactions. Until recently, much of this data remained underutilised due to limitations in accurately processing Arabic speech, particularly across dialect variations.
With Munsit, organisations can now unlock the full value of voice data. Call centres can analyse entire customer interaction datasets instead of relying on limited samples, while financial institutions can enhance compliance and quality monitoring at scale. Government entities, meanwhile, can transcribe and search conversations in the exact dialect they were spoken, improving accessibility and operational efficiency.
For developers, the platform offers a streamlined path to integrate Arabic voice capabilities directly into applications without building models from scratch, significantly reducing both development time and costs.
The launch also aligns with the UAE’s broader ambition to establish itself as a global leader in artificial intelligence by fostering locally developed, sovereign AI solutions. While international technology giants continue to dominate foundational AI models, regional players like CNTXT AI are increasingly focusing on building systems tailored to local languages, cultural nuances, and regulatory requirements.
As the demand for AI-driven services continues to accelerate, Munsit represents a strategic step forward in ensuring that Arabic is not only supported but prioritised in the next generation of digital innovation.
