In a significant move to reinforce regional stability, Major General Staff Saleh Mohammed bin Mejren Al Ameri, Commander of the UAE National Guard, led a high-ranking delegation on an official mission to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The strategic visit centered on a comprehensive review of specialized tactical divisions within Jordan’s Public Security Directorate (PSD), specifically the Gendarmerie and Civil Defence forces, reflecting the accelerating security synergy between both nations.

Comprehensive Assessment of Gendarmerie and Civil Defence Formations

Throughout the official engagement, Commander Al Ameri conducted an exhaustive review of the core operational responsibilities, field readiness, and specialized assets of the Jordanian Gendarmerie and Civil Defence forces. The National Guard leadership examined the technical infrastructure and specialized equipment deployed by the PSD to maintain public order, manage emergency responses, and protect vital infrastructure across Jordan.

The review extended into the academic and qualification frameworks that underpin Jordanian security forces. By analyzing advanced qualification curricula, the delegation evaluated how PSD personnel are systematically prepared to tackle evolving security threats, complex crisis management scenarios, and rapid disaster mitigation operations. This thorough assessment established common ground for enhanced operational synergy and specialized training exchanges between the UAE and Jordan.

Live Tactical Exercises and Field Demonstrations

In the presence of PSD Director Major General Dr. Obaidallah Al Maaytah, Major General Staff Al Ameri witnessed an intensive field demonstration orchestrated by elite PSD tactical units. The dynamic exercise showcased practical field scenarios designed to test rapid-response protocols, modern counter-threat measures, and multi-agency coordination under challenging conditions.

The demonstration drew praise from the UAE National Guard Commander, who commended the exceptional discipline, readiness, and tactical execution displayed by the Jordanian personnel. He noted that modern qualification programs and field exercises deployed across the PSD directly support superior operational performance and ensure faster, more precise interventions during critical incidents.

Reinforcing Deep-Rooted Strategic and Fraternal Relations

The visit reaffirmed the enduring fraternal partnership uniting the United Arab Emirates and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Bolstered by the clear vision and support of both nations’ leaderships, institutional cooperation between both security bodies continues to advance mutual interests and regional stability.

Emphasizing the vital importance of this joint alignment, Major General Staff Saleh Mohammed bin Mejren Al Ameri stated:

“The deep-rooted fraternal and strategic relations between the UAE and Jordan are bolstered by the strong support of our leaderships. Continuing to develop joint programs in training, qualification, and modern security technologies strengthens our institutional capacity-building and elevates the efficiency of our security agencies to respond effectively to mutual challenges.”

Echoing this commitment to operational integration, Major General Dr. Obaidallah Al Maaytah, Director of the PSD, affirmed:

“The Public Security Directorate, under high royal directives, continues to strengthen its partnerships with security agencies in sisterly and friendly countries. Building on the partnerships and cooperation achieved so far reflects positively on our performance efficiency and readiness, developing our security system to meet the highest global benchmarks.”

Future-Proofing Security Through Shared Expertise

As both forces modernize to address complex regional and domestic challenges, the integration of advanced technologies and unified field doctrines remains paramount. The discussions between the UAE National Guard and Jordan‘s PSD prioritized exchanging specialized technical expertise, refining command-and-control capabilities, and institutionalizing continuous cross-border knowledge sharing.

By consolidating these bilateral security frameworks, the UAE National Guard and the Jordanian PSD set a clear standard for collaborative readiness, ensuring both forces remain agile, resilient, and fully equipped to safeguard long-term security.
