In a magnificent celebration of journalistic integrity and digital innovation, the United Arab Emirates has once again proven that its communication sector stands as an unbreakable pillar of national stability. Highlighting this monumental achievement, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum formally honoured over 100 national media organisations, prominent Emirati media leaders, and visionary content creators.

National Media Organisations, Emirati Media Leaders, and Content Creators Honoured by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed

The prestigious ceremony, held during the official opening of the 11th Emirati Media Forum on Monday, June 22, 2026, served as a powerful testament to the country’s unified communications strategy. By gathering the nation’s most influential editors, digital storytellers, and television executives under one roof, the event highlighted how national media organisations, Emirati media leaders, and content creators successfully coordinated their efforts during recent regional developments. Through their collective dedication, these professionals managed to fortify public trust, neutralize misleading narratives, and deliver a clear, unified voice that accurately reflected the resilience of the nation.

Fostering Unity in Exceptional Times

Presiding over the forum as the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed heavily praised the strategic maturity demonstrated by the local press. He noted that the country’s communication networks did not merely report the news; they acted as an essential bridge for public awareness and social cohesion during an exceptional historical period.

Expressing a deep gratitude for this unwavering patriotism, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed has stated:

“We thank the UAE media for demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism in exceptional circumstances. UAE media played a clear role in strengthening national unity and reinforcing the values of commitment and responsibility.”

He further called upon the assembled Emirati media leaders and young content creators to continue championing these foundational values, noting that the leadership firmly counts on national outlets to support the country’s long-term development journey and secure a prosperous, highly competitive future.

The high-profile event was organized by the Dubai Press Club and witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture; Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Authority; and Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council.

A Blueprint for Modern Communications

The 11th edition of the forum specifically focused on the meticulous manner in which the UAE managed its communications during recent geopolitical shifts. By establishing seamless channels between official government sources and national media organisations, the country successfully delivered transparent, fact-checked information to the public in real time. This highly proactive stance effectively countered misinformation, ensuring that security, stability, and territorial integrity remained well-defended against digital speculation.

Mona Ghanem Al Marri emphasized that this recognition reflects the deep respect the UAE leadership holds for the press as an irreplaceable partner in nation-building. Expanding on the deeper meaning behind the awards, Al Marri remarked:

“This recognition carries an important message that the media will continue to play an important part in reinforcing the values and principles upon which the Union was built, and which have formed the foundation of the UAE’s success story and constructive engagement with the world.”

For the digital pioneers and independent content creators recognized at the event, the honor signals a progressive shift in how the state views modern media. By elevating digital creators to the same tier of national responsibility as traditional national media organisations, the Dubai Media Council is actively empowering a younger generation of influencers to craft impactful, sophisticated narratives that highlight the UAE’s message of global partnership, mutual respect, and constructive cooperation to the rest of the world.
